From the memory of the World Cup .. 15 information you hear for the first time about the 1990 World Cup

Italy hosted the fourth edition of the World Cup in 1990, and crowned the championship of the German national team for the third time in its history, after defeating Argentina in the final match 1-0, and thus the Mancheft retaliated from losing the final of the previous version against the Maradona teammates 3-2.

This version was marked by many immortal events in the history of football, witnessing the glow of new stars, the decay of others, and it also contained many distinct numbers and strange paradoxes, to you the most prominent of them:

1- Italy has become the second country

after Mexico to organize the tournament for the second time in its history, as Italy organized the event in the second edition in 1934, while Mexico hosted the tournament in the 1970 and 1986 sessions.

2- The Italian league was the most

powerful in the world at all, and the top World Cup stars were playing in the Italian league, so German Luther Matthews played with Inter Milan, and his teammate Rudi Voller with Roma, the Netherlands Huludrod Gollett in AC Milan, Maradona in Naples, and many others, and he was many others, and he was  These players are very encouraged by the Italians, especially if they play with their country’s team in their home club’s stadium.  Sometimes the opposite happens, where the fans of the San Siro Stadium encouraged Cameroon against Argentina, because the Argentine Maradona plays for the club Napoli, the archenemy of Milan and Inter, while the fans encouraged Germany in the final held at the Olympic Stadium because of the presence of Rudi Voller at the head of the Mensheviks attack.

3- Mexico and Chile were denied

participation in the tournament, due to the first fraud when it involved an old player in a tournament specializing in the categories of young people, and a Chilean keeper reaped his team when he claimed that he had been shot, in the Brazil match in the playoffs, but his claim was exposed when  FIFA watched a video clip that proved a lie, so the latter decided to deprive Chile of the 1990 and 1994 World Cup.

4- 3 countries reached the World Cup Finals for the first time in their history, namely the Emirates, Costa Rica, and the Republic of Ireland.

5- The two Asian teams -

 the UAE and South
Korea - emerged from the championship without achieving any points

6- Egypt’s players mastered wasting time

against Ireland, by returning the ball to
goalkeeper Ahmed Schubert, who in turn holds it to his hand and sends it to another defender, and the latter of course will return it to him, and the incident of returning the ball to the goalkeeper in the match was repeated more than 30 times, which raised the ire of Ireland coach  Jack Charlton said after the match, "I hated football because of this sterile defensive style that Egyptians have taken refuge in."

7- Roger Milla's 38-year-old Cameroon did

not want to participate with his country in the World Cup for his old age, but the Cameroonian president intervened and asked him personally to run in the finals to benefit from his experience, and indeed Milla was one of the stars of the championship, as he alone scored 4 goals, and was distinguished by his famous celebration in the distance  Each goal was dancing at the corner banner in the corner of the field.

8- Cameroon, the first African team to reach
the last eight, and after this achievement FIFA decided to increase the number of African seats in the finals from two to three.

9- When Italy hosted the World Cup, there

was a 12-year-old child watching the championship called Gianluigi Buffon, and he was playing among the youngsters with an attacking position.  Cameroon is the ideal for Buffon, who has become one of the world's best bodyguards, and named his first child as Thomas because of his love for Cameroonian goalkeeper Thomas Nkono.

10- Argentino Claudio Cannagia had the

honor of scoring the first goal against Italian goalkeeper Walter Zinga, as Zinga held the tournament until the semi-final against Argentina.

11- The Italian Salvatore Squillaci crowned

the title of top scorer with 6 goals, and no one expected the brightness of the star of this player, who brought him to the squad a number of questions, as he does not possess international experience and has only one match with Italy before the World Cup.

12- Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Goycchia is

the only one with World Cup history, who managed to tackle four penalty kicks in one championship, and that was against Yugoslavia in the quarter-finals, and Italy in the semi-finals.

 13- Al-Aqdar served Argentine goalkeeper

Sergio Joyquecchia before he was in the championship and becomes the most prominent star.  The main goalkeeper, Pompidou, took Goicochea.

14- The fourteenth edition of the World Cup

is the first championship to be awarded with a penalty kick, as Andreas Brehme scored Germany's only goal against Argentina in the final of the penalty kick.

15 - Manchavt coach Franz Beckenbauer is

the second man in the world to win the cup as a player and coach, the first being the Brazilian, Mario Zagalo, and Zagalo won the championship as a player in 1958, and as a coach in 1970, while Beckenbauer won the championship as a player in 1974.
