For many years the Summer Olympics also included the World Football Championship, the most prominent soccer event in the world.  Beginning in 1930, the football championship became independent from the Olympics, and every four years a world championship is held in this sport.  Uruguay was the first country to organize this world championship.  But the first world championship was not characterized by the excitement and rivalry that prevailed in our time, as only 13 teams participated, including 7 from South America.  The best European teams, including the German national soccer team, did not participate in the first world soccer championship, for financial, logistical and political reasons.

 The first world football championship was held in the South American continent in the absence of a large number of the most prominent international teams, particularly the European.  As for the title of the tournament, it fell to the host country to make Uruguay the first champion in the world of football, after winning the final match against Argentina with four goals, two goals.

 Italy shines globally and Egypt is the first Arab team in the World Cup

 The second world soccer championship was held in 1934 on the European continent, specifically in Italy.  Sixteen teams, or three more than the first world championships in Uruguay, participated.  The Egyptian soccer team was among the teams participating in the world championship, making it the first African and Arab national team to reach the World Cup Finals.
